Rooted in the socio-culture and geographical diversity of India, Kritiations Sustainability Solutions’(KS2) mission is to answer the questions of Indian urbanisation journey. We take lessons from our immensely diverse built heritage and vernacular systems to create an equitable, accessible, resource efficient and inclusive sustainable urban future for India.

ENVIRONMENT

We aim to promote climate resilient, energy efficient, healthy & thermally comfortable built environment.
Through our practice, we aim to promote use of climate responsive architecture, passive design strategies and indigenous construction materials and techniques.
Our approach dwells in applied & evidence based research, documentation and contextualising innovative technologies for the built environment.

SUSTAINABLE SYSTEMS & PROCESSES

To design, promote and encourage decentralised systems for resource efficiency such as water harvesting, urban foresting, waste management.
To design, install and undertake activities of research, documentation, training and awareness building on energy – efficiency and in promoting use of renewable energy resources.
To enable behavioural change and adaptation for effective use of sustainable systems & processes.

COMMUNITY

To encourage and facilitate participation of stakeholders and communities in design & planning processes.
To promote and encourage agro-based, traditional livelihood avenues and opportunities.
To undertake capacity building and upskilling of various stakeholders. .To provide counselling and educate the community about the significance of resource efficiency, climate change and related mitigation measures.
